Gastric Band

In the gastric band technique, we place a device or band that surrounds the stomach through minimally invasive surgery, which reduces the capacity of this organ. In this way we ensure that patients are satisfied with less food and thus progressively reduce their weight and prevent them from regaining it once they have lost it.

It is a reversible technique if the patient wishes, although the gastric band can act throughout life. The band must be adjusted according to the patient’s tolerance through a device placed under the skin
